There are days that don’t come around again, and a graduation is one of them. It doesn’t matter if you’re the star or accompanying someone important: you know you want a special look. Not just any look. Pay attention, because today I’m going to give you the keys to be the most stylish mom or guest at a graduation.
A graduation is not a wedding. But it’s not just any dinner either.
It’s that middle ground where you want to look dressed up, elegant, but without looking like you’re in costume. Where you seek style… but also a lot of naturalness.
If there is one garment that never disappoints, it’s the dress.
But not just any dress. We’re talking about that beautiful dress with movement, that accompanies you as you walk and makes you feel wonderful.
The ideal dresses for a graduation are usually:
Midi dresses that slim
Flowy fabrics like viscose, knit, or silk that move with you
Colors that brighten (from dusty shades to more intense tones)
Not a dress person? Great!!! There are ideal looks with all these options, which are just as stylish or even more so; the important thing is that they reflect your personality and suit you.
Palazzo pants that slim, I love them and they are super comfortable and a perfect ten in style
Special blouses or flattering tops, how important the upper part of your look is!! Remember you'll be sitting for a long time and it will be the most visible part.
Two-piece sets combined with elegance, that work together… and/or separately, and you look wonderful.
The look must be accompanied by a shoe that elevates it, flatters you when you walk, and gives you even more style. That’s why, at Nuria Cobo, we always have it clear: The shoe has to be beautiful and, of course… super comfortable.
The ideal shoes for a graduation look
Heeled sandals that hold well, with or without a platform.
Mid-heel pumps that elongate and add elegance
Tones that go with everything (nude, mink, metallics…)
This is where the details come in. And no, we’re not talking about wearing everything you have. Choose your accessories well, you know, less but with personality.
Ideal accessories for graduation
A small bag or clutch that elevates the look
Special earrings and necklaces that brighten up
An embroidered shawl in case it gets chilly
My advice is always to go for naturalness, but a naturalness that flatters a lot.
A bit of glow, a touch of eyeliner, and fresh lips usually work wonderfully. Pink tones with a slightly darker lip liner than the lipstick are very flattering and rejuvenate the face.
Hair has a lot of power in any look.
The most beautiful thing is usually clean, natural, soft, and well-styled hair. Avoid leaving hair dye until the last minute; doing it a week before is usually much better because the color looks more natural after several washes.
Well-cared-for hair always elevates any style.
And above all, live that day without stress. Look for clothes that are truly you, that flatter you, and that reflect the happiness of such a beautiful moment as a graduation.
